As a number of our items are made to order, please check each individual product for the estimated lead time. The different status options are explained below:

Please note that lead times quoted are given in good faith. They are based on the best available information from our suppliers at the time of purchase. Where any delay occurs we will notify you by email at the earliest opportunity.
Is there anything I need to know before ordering furniture?
– Deliveries will be supplied by Designer Concepts subject to your address being within our designated delivery zones and you will be charged accordingly on your invoice.
– Deliveries will be available from Monday to Friday
– For deliveries outside our designated zones, you will be contacted by our call centre staff to confirm delivery price and delivery instructions.
– For collection of goods from the Designer Concepts warehouses, prior arrangement and acknowledgement is essential prior to such collection.
Please note that no goods will be given to outside transporters unless Designer Concepts has been paid in full for such goods. Proof of payment in full must be on hand for any goods to be released. In the event of outside contractors collecting on behalf of a customer, Designer Concepts may in addition to proof of payment in full, contact the customer to confirm proceedings.
To ensure a smooth and timely delivery of Designer Concepts goods, please make sure that you clear the room(s) in advance where your new goods are to be located prior to the delivery service arriving. The Customer must remove all breakable items in the path of the delivery. Designer Concepts delivery crew are not permitted to re-arrange Customers’ furniture. Designer Concepts delivery crew team will place the goods delivered in the place of the Customer’s choice.The delivery crew is not permitted to uplift or take away with them any unwanted items of furniture or items not designated for removal previously with the call centre. It is in the customers’ own interests that all loose items of value be removed from the delivery site and that in addition pets be secured in a safe location away from the crew and delivery site. Designer Concepts cannot be held responsible for any items claimed to be missing following a delivery. Breakables such as glasses, vases, wall mountings etc must be secured or removed from the delivery site. Designer Concepts cannot be held responsible for any items claimed to be missing following a delivery.
Designer Concepts delivery policy for flats and small apartments. The maximum couch length that can be fitted into an elevator cannot exceed 2.2m. If the flat or apartment does not have a suitable lift for the furniture, then the Designer Concepts delivery team will only be allowed to carry the items up to 2 floors in height, providing the passages are wide enough to accommodate the items without any damages to the goods. Designer Concepts delivery teams are not equipped to hoist goods over balconies. Should items be required to be hoisted a dedicated team would be required and subject to an additional charge. Designer Concepts shall not be responsible for any damage whatsoever whether direct or consequential rising out of the use of the goods or in respect of any late or short delivery.
We also ask that you consider the following factors that may prevent us from completing a standard delivery:
- Parking restrictions.
- Delivery vehicle size restrictions.
- Suitable access to the property.
- Restricted access into the property due to the size of the ground floor entrance.
- Restricted access within the property to the intended delivery location.
- Please ensure there is adequete space for our team to carry out assembly.

Any costs incurred affecting delivery will not be the responsibility of Designer Concepts door or window removal etc.
Upon delivery of your goods, it is your responsibility (or the responsibility of the adult acting on your behalf) to inspect each item and to sign the driver’s delivery note to confirm receipt of the goods. Any claim regarding short delivery, damage to property, or damaged or defective goods must be made within 24 hours. After this time Designer Concepts cannot be held responsible for goods that are no longer in our care. If your goods are being shipped outside Gauteng by an independent shipping company, it is the responsibility of the person receiving the item to carry out the relevant checks.
Please note, any cancellation within 24 hours of the delivery date will incur a failed delivery charge. This charge will also apply if no-one is present to receive your delivery at a time agreed with the carrier. Similarly, if you choose not to accept your new furniture for reasons other than damage you will also incur a removal charge.
Payments made by EFT (Electronic funds Transfer) require a 48 hour period to clear funds and allocate them to the orders.
Designer Concepts does not accept payment by cheque because of the high risk of fraud prevalent in South Africa
Designer Concepts will not be held responsible if the item purchased does not fit
Deliveries in Gauteng are done by Designer Concepts delivery team. Client has a choice if they would like an assembled product or un-assembled in box.
Deliveries out of Gauteng are done in original packing to avoid the risk of the product getting damaged. Some products may require D.I.Y assembly. We provide instruction also we are here to assist you remotely, if you require any assistance contact 011 869 2212.
Courier delivers Door to Door.Although goods are insured, glass is not covered by the insurer. Upon delivery of your goods, it is your responsibility (or the responsibility of the adult acting on your behalf) to inspect each item before signing the driver’s delivery note to confirm receipt of the goods.
