Refund, Return & Exchange Policy

Designer Concepts

Thank you for shopping with Designer Concepts. We value your satisfaction and aim to make your shopping experience as smooth as possible. Please read our policy carefully before making a purchase.


1. Change of Mind / Order Cancellation

  • You may cancel your order within 7 days of purchase.

  • If your order has not been dispatched, a 7% cancellation fee will apply.

  • If your order has already been dispatched, a 17% cancellation fee will apply (7% cancellation + 10% handling).

  • Delivery and collection fees will also be charged separately and may differ from the original shipping fee (invoices will be provided).

  • Refunds will only be processed once goods are returned, inspected, and approved.

  • No cash refunds – refunds will be issued via EFT or store credit (at our discretion).


2. Return & Exchange Conditions

  • Returns are allowed within 7 days of delivery, provided items are:

    • In their original packaging and undamaged

    • Unused, unassembled, and in saleable condition

    • Free from tampering, alterations, or misuse

  • If the original packaging is not available, the item must be securely wrapped. The customer is responsible for damages during return transit.

  • All returned items undergo a 3-day inspection process:

    • If the item is deemed unsellable, no refund will be issued (you may collect the item).

    • If damages are found, the customer will be charged accordingly.

  • Return delivery fees will only be refunded if the product was faulty, damaged, or incorrect on arrival.


3. Items Not Eligible for Return / Refund

  • Products assembled by the customer or third parties

  • Items not returned in their original packaging and condition

  • Custom-made or made-to-order products

  • Products that do not fit your space, or were damaged during attempts to move/install them

  • Items with slight color variations due to screen or lighting differences

  • Generators not installed by a certified electrician with a valid Certificate of Compliance


4. Delivery, Collection & Evaluation

  • All cancelled or returned items must be properly repackaged.

  • Delivery and collection charges are the responsibility of the customer (fees vary by size, weight, and location).

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable (except where the product is faulty, damaged, or incorrect).

  • If an item is deemed unfit for resale after inspection, no refund will be granted.


5. Warranties

  • All items come with a 3-month structural warranty.

  • Warranties apply to the structure only, not cosmetic wear, misuse, or installation damage.

  • Warranty does not cover damages incurred during delivery unless reported within the claim period.

  • Items without warranty will be clearly marked on their product page.


6. Damages & Claims

  • Customers must inspect orders immediately upon delivery.

  • Any damage, defect, or incorrect item must be reported within 2 working days and before assembly.

  • No claims will be accepted:

    • After assembly

    • After 2 working days from delivery

  • Customers are responsible for checking assembled items at delivery. No claims can be made afterward.


7. Final Notes

  • All returns and exchanges are subject to inspection and management approval.

  • Returns after 7 days from delivery will not be accepted.

  • Designer Concepts will bear costs only if the product is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

  • If cancellation is initiated by Designer Concepts, no cancellation or handling fees will apply.

  • We are not responsible for:

    • Items that do not fit in your space

    • Any damage caused while trying to fit or install items

    • Loss or damage to property during delivery or installation by third parties

  • For all failed deliveries or returns, the client is responsible for shipping charges.


8. Custom Orders

  • Custom-made or made-to-order items are non-refundable and non-returnable.

  • Production time is between 4 to 7 weeks, depending on the item and materials required.

  • A 40% upfront, non-refundable payment is required before production begins. This covers raw materials, components, and elements involved in manufacturing your item.

  • The production timeline (4–7 weeks) only begins once the deposit payment has cleared.

  • Delays in payment will result in corresponding delays in production and delivery.

  • Once production has started, cancellations will not be accepted.

  • Any changes requested after order confirmation may incur additional costs and could delay delivery.

  • Customers must confirm all specifications, dimensions, materials, and finishes in writing before production begins.

  • Designer Concepts is not responsible for incorrect measurements or specifications provided by the customer.

  • Custom orders may have slight variations in color, finish, or texture due to manufacturing processes—these are not considered defects.
